An Evening with Edgar Allan Poe

In spirit, of course, but nonetheless fully present in his poems and stories.

The Low Country Sisters in Crime celebrated Edgar Allan Poe's birthday with mysterious readings at The Book Lady bookstore in downtown Savannah. Sharing their own work --  as well as the work of Mr. Poe -- were Tina Whittle, Jim Jackson, Maggie Toussaint, Donna Kortes, and

We even some Martel's cognac on premises, for those who wanted to toast Baltimore's dark genius in authentic style.

And a wolf hat. Because . . . wolf hat.

A Celebration of Edgar Allan Poe's Birthday at The Book Lady!

When: Saturday, January 17th

Where: The Book Lady Bookstore

Time: 7:00 PM

It's gonna be a dark and stormy night!

Well, maybe not stormy, but once we dip into the mysterious pages of Edgar Allan Poe (and others), it's certain to be dark.

Join us as we celebrate Mr. Poe's birthday -- we're sure he would approve of our bookish location, full of "quaint and curious volumes of forgotten lore."

Bring a reading from a work that has inspired and/or spooked you or read from your own mysterious work. There will be drinks and nibbles, mingles and shivers aplenty. We hope you'll join us!
