Summer Meeting Hiatus

It's summertime, and the living is . . . busy.

With all the family visiting and visiting family, writing conferences and retreats, plus the usual schools-out catch-as-catch-can scheduling, your Low Country Sisters in Crime will not be having regular meetings until the second Saturday in August -- August 8th.

We'll be checking in during the summer as we make some field trips to fellow Sisters in Crime chapters, visit points of writerly interest, and have officer's meetings. Plus we've got some meet-ups in the works to share as we get the information.

Enjoy your summer! And we'll see you August 8th at the Southwest Chatham Library!

Our May Meeting: Writing Conferences 101

When: Saturday, May 9th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon

So many choices! What's an aspiring writer to do? The same thing professional writers do: make informed choices about which writing conferences best serve your needs at whatever stage of your writing career you happen to be at.

Please join Low Country Sisters in Crime for our May meeting, where we'll be discussing writing conferences, from the big convention-style events to the smaller regional festivals. We'll cover mystery-specific conferences, writer's conferences for all genres, and research events like Writers' Police Academy.

Join Tina Whittle and Donna Kortes as they lead this round-table discussion. We'll be heading to lunch afterwards for more conversation if anyone is interested.

For more information, contact Tina Whittle at lowcountrysinc at gmail.com.
